Young Workers: We want to hear from you!
How do you
think we are doing? What can your union do to better connect with you? Are you
being given opportunities to advance in your local? Would you want to connect
with a “seasoned” mentor? Are there special projects or initiatives you think
the union should be involved in?
Please take our short survey about your
experiences in the union. We will use this information to make sure the labor
movement stays relevant to the needs of our generation.
At the CT
AFL-CIO’s 2010 Political Convention, the delegates passed a resolution creating
a Young Workers Committee to engage young workers on becoming leaders in the
union movement, work with affiliates on creating opportunities for us, and to
advocate for policies that would benefit young workers regardless of if they are
in a union. Now is your chance to make your voice heard and shape the work of
this committee.
If you have questions or concerns, feel free to call
860-571-6191 or email office@ctaflcio.org. We will be in touch with the results
and next steps soon.
